Basketball Recap: Little Rock Southwest Comes Up Short

Little Rock Southwest suffered their biggest defeat since January 23, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Bryant Hornets, falling 73-51. The Gryphons have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Camarion Bead was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine boards for Bryant. Another player making a difference was Rj Young, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks.

Little Rock Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Bryant, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jonesboro the next time they take the court. Bryant will head out to face Jonesboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Little Rock Southwest will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
