Soccer Game Preview: Mountain Heritage vs. Avery County

Mountain Heritage is 1-9 against Avery County since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mountain Heritage Cougars will square off against the Avery County Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Mountain Heritage's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, Mountain Heritage and Owen finished up their matchup with a 3-3 draw.

Kai'ana Stella and Sierra Jones scored all three of Mountain Heritage's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Avery County kept a clean sheet against North Wilkes on Friday. They put the hurt on North Wilkes with a sharp 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for Avery County, who have now won three contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Avery County now has a winning record of 4-3. Mountain Heritage's draw gives them a new season record of 1-2-2.
