There's no place like home for Dobie, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Manvel Mavericks on Saturday as the Dobie Longhorns made off with a 14-1 win. Considering the Longhorns have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Amaya Corona was a standout: she scored two runs while going 4-for-4. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Leslie Sarduy, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Dobie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Dobie is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. Manvel is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Dobie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-4 victory against Dawson on the 17th. As for Manvel, they are taking a road trip to take on Pasadena Memorial at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Manvel has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
