Basketball Game Preview: El Toro Chargers vs. South East Jaguars

The El Toro Chargers and the South East Jaguars will round out the year against one another at at 4:03 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

El Toro took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 59-43 victory over Woodbridge. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for the Chargers this season.

Meanwhile, South East had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five two weeks ago. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 54-44. While the Jaguars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

El Toro has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for South East, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
