Basketball Recap: Joseph Takes a Loss

Joseph lost against Union back in May of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Joseph Eagles were beaten by the Union Bobcats 87-42. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Bobcats are ranked 95th).

Joseph dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Union, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Joseph will welcome Wallowa at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union, they will head out to square off against Pine Eagle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Union is facing Pine Eagle at the right time seeing as Pine Eagle is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
