Soccer Game Preview: Union Pines vs. Triton + Official Tickets

The Union Pines Vikings will square off against the Triton Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Union Pines fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Southern Lee on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers. That's two games in a row now that Union Pines have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Triton). Their defense stepped up to hand Western Harnett a 15-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Triton considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Triton's victory bumped their record up to 4-10-1. As for Union Pines, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
