Softball Game Preview: Boiling Springs Bubblers vs. Shippensburg Greyhounds

Boiling Springs is 0-10 against Shippensburg since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Bubblers will look to defend their home field against the Greyhounds at 4:30 p.m. Boiling Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Boiling Springs blew West Perry out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday West Perry got their revenge. The Bubblers fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-3.

Boiling Springs saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Bennett, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Shippensburg got the win against James Buchanan on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-2. Considering the Greyhounds have won eight games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Shippensburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Boiling Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
