Basketball Recap: Prairie Picks Up Tenth Straight Win on the Road

Prairie won the last time they faced Kamiah and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Prairie Pirates were the clear victor by a 54-30 margin over the Kamiah Kubs. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Several Kubs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Audrey Puckett, who posted six points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Krogh, who had nine points and three steals.

Prairie pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Kamiah, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Coincidentally, Prairie and Kamiah will both be playing Potlatch the next time they take the court. Kamiah will host Potlatch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Prairie will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
