Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson lost against San Angelo Central back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Silver Foxes fell 2-0 to the Bobcats.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15.

San Angelo Central was led to victory by Adyson Welch and Brooklynn Rodriguez. Welch had 15 digs, while Rodriguez had ten assists and four digs. Those 15 digs gave Welch a new career-high. Aleeya Macias also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Jefferson has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for San Angelo Central, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.

Jefferson has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Socorro on the 26th. As for San Angelo Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Lubbock-Cooper on the 23rd.
