Baseball Recap: Conotton Valley Takes a Loss

Conotton Valley lost against Newcomerstown last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rockets took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Conotton Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zack Putnam, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Conotton Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Newcomerstown, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Conotton Valley will challenge Beallsville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Newcomerstown, they will take on Ridgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
