            Baseball Recap: Case Cardinals vs. Tiverton Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            It was a proper cat-fight when Case faced off against Tiverton on Tuesday. The Cardinals never let the Tigers get on the board and left with  a   4-0  victory. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.

Not much got past  Reid Ulmschneider, who gave up just  a  hit to keep Tiverton off the board. Case is 4-2 when  Ulmschneider allows one or  fewer  hits, but 5-9 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Devyn Murphy, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. That  double marked the first that  he has  hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aedan Borges, who  got on base  in two of his three plate appearances with two  runs.
Case's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 9-11. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Tiverton, they now  have a losing record of 9-10.
 Case does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tiverton, they will square off against Scituate at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
