Baseball Recap: Carencro Takes a Loss

Carencro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vermilion Catholic Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jaiven Thompson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

Carencro's loss dropped their record down to 5-27. As for Vermilion Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Carencro nor Vermilion Catholic have any future games scheduled.
