Carroll extends home winning streak to 15

Recap: Carroll Cougars vs. Clinton Prairie Gophers

In what's become a running theme this season, the Carroll Cougars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Clinton Prairie 62-25 at home. Given Carroll's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Clinton Prairie is ranked 321st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carroll got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alli Harness out in front who scored 23 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Harness also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Jillian Salts was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.

Carroll's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.33 points. As for Clinton Prairie, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carroll will take on Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clinton Prairie, they will head out on the road to challenge Frankfort at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frankfort is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
