Basketball Game Preview: Mulhall-Orlando Panthers vs. Wellston Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mulhall-Orlando Panthers take on the Wellston Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday... Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Mulhall-Orlando was able to grind out a solid win over Agra, taking the game 31-23.

Meanwhile, Wellston put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Meeker as Wellston made off with a 46-25 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wellston pushed their record up to 17-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.5 points per game. As for Mulhall-Orlando, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Mulhall-Orlando was dealt a bruising 69-24 loss at the hands of Wellston in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can Mulhall-Orlando avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
