Basketball Game Preview: York Country Day vs. Coventry Christian

York Country Day will take on Coventry Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. York Country Day is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Two weeks ago, everything came up roses for York Country Day against Lititz Christian as the team secured a 99-42 win. York Country Day has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 24 points or more this season.

York Country Day's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Maus, who went 12-for-25 on his way to 28 points along with eight steals and five assists. With that strong performance, Maus is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Sincere Burgos, who went 11-for-19 to rack up 24 points and four steals.

Maus wasn't the only one working in the assist department: York Country Day was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. They racked up 12 more assists than Lititz Christian's also-impressive total of 14.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Coventry Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Mount Calvary Christian by a score of 59-46 on Tuesday.

Coventry Christian pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points over those games. As for York Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 20-0.
