Soccer Recap: Southside Christian Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Southside Christian has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilson Christian Academy Chargers on Tuesday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Southside Christian couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Braxton Bennett, who's now up to four this season.

Southside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Wilson Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Southside Christian wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Bethel Christian Academy on the 17th. As for Wilson Christian Academy, they will square off against Liberty Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
