Volleyball Game Preview: The First Academy Royals vs. Crooms Academy Panthers + How To Watch

The First Academy Royals will challenge the Crooms Academy Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (The First Academy has three straight victories, Crooms Academy has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, The First Academy made easy work of Altamonte Christian and carried off a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant The First Academy was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-5.

Meanwhile, Crooms Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Warner Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-20 in the first set.

Crooms Academy took Warner Christian Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-14, 25-16, 18-25, 15-10.

Crooms Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for The First Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
