Softball Recap: Kinston Comes Up Short

Kinston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the North Lenoir Hawks. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 19-4 to the Hawks when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kinston's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for North Lenoir, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kinston will venture away from home to take on South Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Lenoir will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Kinston surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Lenoir, they are taking a road trip to face off against North Pitt at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
