Football Recap: Atticus Cordes and Isaac Duverson Lead the Defense for Centennial Win + How To Watch

Centennial won the last time they faced Discovery and things went their way on Friday too. The Knights blew past the Titans 33-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Centennial found their leader in sophomore Landon Brown, who threw for 149 yards and four TDs. Those four passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Brown. The team also got some help courtesy of Junior Howard, who picked up 34 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Centennial didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Discovery to a completion percentage of just 50%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Connor Martin, Atticus Cordes, and Kannon Smith, who each logged one passes deflected. Centennial wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 70%.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Discovery, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Centennial will host Chattahoochee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Discovery, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Buford at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
