Football Game Preview: Eastern Eagles vs. Green Bobcats

Eastern is 8-1 against Green since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will challenge the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eastern has nine straight wins, Green has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Eastern is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down South Gallia 71-52 on Friday.

Eric Manley Jr. was his usual excellent self, throwing for 574 yards and ten TDs while picking up 16.9 yards per attempt. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 28 passing touchdowns on the season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Green's offense. They had to suffer through a 46-0 loss at the hands of East.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Green, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Eastern against Green when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 46-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
