Manti barely beat Richfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Templars were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Wildcats on Friday. Considering the Templars have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Danie Alder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Manti got a massive performance out of Dakoda Cheney, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, Cheney posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Hannah Daniels was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

Manti's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Richfield, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-13.

Coming up, Manti will take on Enterprise in a tournament on Saturday. The Wolves are coming into the game with three straight victories on the road, so the Templars will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Richfield, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Delta at 3:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
