O'Connor has gone 8-2 against Marshall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The O'Connor Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Marshall Rams at 11:30 a.m. O'Connor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, O'Connor turned things around against Central Catholic on Saturday. They escaped with a win against the Buttons by the margin of a single free throw, 56-55.

It was another big night for Hagen Hurst, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Evan Herrera, who posted seven points and eight assists.

Meanwhile, Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against Brennan, falling 108-46. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 639th, while the Bears are ranked second).

O'Connor will need focus on slowing down Liam Curry, one of several Marshall players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jai Lopez, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for O'Connor, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: O'Connor has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 29.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Marshall struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

O'Connor beat Marshall 67-55 in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Will O'Connor repeat their success, or does Marshall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
