Baseball Recap: North Central Knights vs. Buford Yellow Jackets
North Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-3 to the Buford Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 last Tuesday.
North Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bj Elliott, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Patton Hood also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
North Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Buford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Central will venture away from home to take on Lancaster at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bruins have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Buford, they will head out on the road to square off against Andrew Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
