Basketball Game Preview: Grossmont Foothillers vs. High Tech CV Bruins

The Grossmont Foothillers will challenge the High Tech CV Bruins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Grossmont was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-48 to Otay Ranch.

Grossmont's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rayin Hamlett, who posted 15 points, and Jackson Baird, who shot 75% from the field on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matt Canosa, who had six points.

Meanwhile, High Tech CV came up short against Valhalla on Monday and fell 69-57. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grossmont will have to contain Kyle Ilagan as he made an impact in High Tech CV's last game. He went 9-for-16 to rack up 25 points. Ramzie Cabal was another key player, shooting 71% from the field en route to 10 points.

High Tech CV now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Grossmont, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
