Beaumont had won five straight home games and Tessa Martinez did her part to make it six on Tuesday. Everything went the Cougars' way against the Yucaipa Thunderbirds as they made off with a 32-7 victory with plenty of help from Martinez, who threw for 283 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of her passes. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times she's played.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Beaumont's defense and their four sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kiera Houston.

Beaumont's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Yucaipa, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beaumont will head out to challenge Citrus Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Yucaipa, they will challenge Aquinas at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
