Soccer Recap: Groton Takes a Loss

Groton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Southern Cayuga Chiefs, falling 6-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Southern Cayuga this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 two weeks ago.

Groton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Southern Cayuga, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Groton will take on rival Whitney Point at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Southern Cayuga is set to square off against their familiar foe Moravia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
