Gordo lost a heartbreaker the last time they played South Lamar, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. Everything went the Gordo Green Wave's way against the South Lamar Stallions on Thursday as the Gordo Green Wave made off with a 7-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Green Wave sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Abigail Billings made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Isabella Billings was incredible, firing off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lila Billings was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Gordo's record now sits at 7-4. As for South Lamar, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gordo will venture away from home to take on Winfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Lamar will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Holy Spirit Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th.
