Basketball Game Preview: Burton Panthers vs. Bremond Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Burton Panthers face off against the Bremond Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Burton will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Iola, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Burton blew past Iola, posting a 57-21 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bremond, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Somerville 75-4 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their 24-point performance the contest before.

Burton's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points per game. As for Bremond, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Burton came up short against Bremond in their previous meeting on January 3rd, falling 59-55. Can Burton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
