Silver Lake has won three straight games at home, while Lawrence-Nelson has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Silver Lake Mustangs will take on the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but likely not for long.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Tuesday. Silver Lake blew past Meridian 52-29. Silver Lake has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Lawrence-Nelson beat Red Cloud 56-52 on Tuesday.

Silver Lake better focus on containing Wyatt Frey and Aidan Zikmund as the pair were huge in Lawrence-Nelson's win. Frey dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds, while Zikmund posted seven points in addition to six assists and six boards. The game was Frey's sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Sawyer Cox was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Lawrence-Nelson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Silver Lake is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points over those games. Lawrence-Nelson's win bumped their record up to 15-7.

Silver Lake strolled past Lawrence-Nelson in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 45-28. Does Silver Lake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lawrence-Nelson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
