Baseball Recap: North Callaway Extends Road Winning Streak to Nine

After losing to Centralia the last time they met, North Callaway decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Thunderbirds came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbirds.

The team relied heavily on Caleb Sheets, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Justice Moore, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

North Callaway's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Centralia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season.

North Callaway will challenge Mexico at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Thunderbirds 2.9, the Bulldogs 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Centralia, they will take on Blair Oaks at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
