Basketball Recap: Leonard Takes a Loss

Leonard lost against Gunter back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Leonard Tigers had to suffer through a 59-21 loss at the hands of the Gunter Tigers. Leonard was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-2.

Leonard has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-13 record this season. As for Gunter, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-3.

Leonard will challenge Howe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Leonard is facing Howe at the right time seeing as Howe is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Gunter, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Gunter Tigers challenge the Pottsboro Cardinals at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Gunter's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches.
