Basketball Recap: Souhegan Comes Up Short

Souhegan was the 52-40 winner over Sanborn Regional when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Souhegan Sabers were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 56-55 to the Sanborn Regional Indians.

Souhegan has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. The victory was the third in a row for Sanborn Regional, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Souhegan will be playing in front of their home fans against Kingswood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sanborn Regional, they will head out to face off against Bishop Brady at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sanborn Regional knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Bishop Brady likes a good challenge.
