Fishers is 10-0 against Avon since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fishers Tigers will host the Avon Orioles at 6:00 p.m. Fishers will be strutting in after a victory while Avon will be coming in after a defeat.

Avon better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Fishers really get things going. Fishers blew past Carmel 60-36 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Avon lost to Franklin Central on the road by a 58-41 margin on Friday. The Orioles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fishers will have to contain Makaylee Butts as she made an impact in Avon's last game. She posted 22 points. The game was Butts' third in a row with at least ten points. Mya Thompson was another key player, putting up six points.

Even though they lost, Avon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive matches.

Fishers has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Avon, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Fishers strolled past Avon when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 66-50. Will Fishers repeat their success, or does Avon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
