Volleyball Game Preview: Elmira Express vs. Corning-Painted Post Hawks

Elmira is 1-9 against Corning-Painted Post since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Express will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Hawks at 6:30 p.m.

On Monday, Elmira came up short against Windsor Central and fell 3-1.

While Elmira ultimately came up short, they really made Windsor Central work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24, 23-25, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Corning-Painted Post had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Black Knights.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 20-25, 25-15.

Elmira's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Corning-Painted Post, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5-1.
