Baseball Recap: Moreau Catholic Takes a Loss

Moreau Catholic was the 18-9 winner over Kennedy when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mariners took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Mariners have lost by exactly three runs.

Isaiah Clendinen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nate Elizarrey, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Moreau Catholic and nudges their season record down to 14-9. As for Kennedy, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

While Moreau Catholic had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
