Softball Game Preview: Westerville South Wildcats vs. Thomas Worthington CARDINALS

The Westerville South Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Thomas Worthington CARDINALS at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Westerville South has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 10th.

Westerville South lost 16-4 to Hayes on Thursday.

Paige Bloch made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Thomas Worthington hadn't done well against Hilliard Darby recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The CARDINALS put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-5 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the CARDINALS needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

The win got Thomas Worthington back to even at 8-8. As for Westerville South, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Westerville South suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Thomas Worthington in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
