Baseball Game Preview: Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats vs. Princeton Tigers

The Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats will head out to face off against the Princeton Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Chisago Lakes Area earned a 5-2 victory over North Branch. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Zander Bleymeyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cole Stilp, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Jadon Greene was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Princeton posted their closest victory since May 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Monticello 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Chisago Lakes Area's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Princeton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
