Volleyball Recap: Emma Willard Comes Up Short

Emma Willard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waterford-Halfmoon Fordians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fordians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 26-28, 25-16.

Alankrita Biswas paced Emma Willard's offense, picking up five kills. Biswas got some help from Jiho Yoon and her seven assists. Clara Lee and Emma O'Donnell kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Emma Willard's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Waterford-Halfmoon, with the victory, they broke their eight-match losing streak and moved their record to 2-11.

Emma Willard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Tamarac on the 17th. As for Waterford-Halfmoon, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Berlin/New Lebanon on the 14th.
