Recap: Wellington-Napoleon Tigers vs. Polo Panthers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Santa Fe, the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They managed a 35-30 win over Polo. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wellington-Napoleon also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.
Wellington-Napoleon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Corinna Utterback, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Charelsie Lamphier, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Wellington-Napoleon's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Polo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
Wellington-Napoleon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory vs. Orrick on the 9th. Polo will head out on the road to challenge Lathrop at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
