Basketball Game Preview: Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs vs. Osborne Bulldogs

Sylvan-Lucas is 2-8 against Osborne since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs will be playing at home against the Osborne Bulldogs. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Osborne will be up against a hot Sylvan-Lucas team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Sylvan-Lucas claimed a resounding 57-24 win over Lakeside. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Knights are ranked 311th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Osborne had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They breezed past the Longhorns to the tune of 62-22.

Osborne pushed their record up to 12-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points over those games. As for Sylvan-Lucas, their win bumped their record up to 11-4-1.

Sylvan-Lucas beat Osborne 58-51 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Sylvan-Lucas have another victory up their sleeve, or will Osborne turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
