It was a good run, but Brenham unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 74-66 to the Huntsville Hornets. The Cubs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 79-58.

Brenham's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 21-8. As for Huntsville, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

Brenham has already played their next matchup (against A&M Consolidated), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Huntsville will square off against Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
