Basketball Recap: Bangs Comes Up Short

If Bangs was feeling good fresh off their 66-27 takedown of Gorman on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons lost 72-47 to the Huckabay Indians on Monday. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-15.

Despite the loss, Bangs still got an impressive performance from Ryan Alqorum, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Alqorum's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Robinson, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 23 points.

Bangs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Huckabay, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
