Volleyball Recap: Deer Valley Snags 11th Victory in Last 12 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Deer Valley rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Estrella Foothills Wolves. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win back in April.

Deer Valley never let Estrella Foothills on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 27-25, 15-8.

Seath Brightwell was the offensive standout of the contest as he had ten digs and two assists. He has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times he's played.

Deer Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive games.

Deer Valley is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season. As for Estrella Foothills, they moved to 11-18 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
