Soccer Game Preview: Barron Collier vs. Immokalee

Barron Collier is on a eight-game streak of home wins, while Immokalee is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Barron Collier Cougars will be taking part in a tournament against the Immokalee Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Barron Collier is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Charlotte just ended the team's 12-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Fightin' Tarpons by a score of 2-1. The Cougars were red-hot offensively headed into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior) but the Fightin' Tarpons' defense proved too tough.

Meanwhile, Immokalee beat LaBelle 4-2 on Tuesday. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Cowboys/Cowgirls are ranked 312th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Immokalee hit LaBelle with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Benslove St. Julien, Brihan Rodrguez, Leonardo Conception, and Holly Souverain.

Immokalee is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those seven games. As for Barron Collier, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.

Barron Collier beat Immokalee by a goal in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 6-5. Does Barron Collier have another victory up their sleeve, or will Immokalee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
