Volleyball Recap: North White Find Success

North White won the last time they faced Lake Station Edison and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Fighting Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

North White not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lake Station Edison between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17.

North White can attribute much of their success to Emma Jacobsma, who had eight aces and three assists. Those eight aces gave Jacobsma a new career-high. Mandy Cook was another key player, getting five aces.

They weren't the only good server: North White was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

North White now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lake Station Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, North White will head out on the road to challenge North Judson-San Pierre at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Station Edison, they will take on East Chicago Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
