Football Recap: Daiton Hood's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Danville over Lebanon

If Danville was riding high fresh off their 37-13 takedown of Roger Bacon last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Lebanon Tigers by a score of 38-35 on Friday. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Tigers since Friday.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daiton Hood, who rushed for 104 yards and a pair of scores. Drew Rector also helped out with an impressive 148 receiving yards.

Lebanon was led to victory by Josh Parks and Chris Hill. Parks gained 210 total yards and a touchdown, while Hill rushed for 96 yards and one TD on only 13 carries.

Danville now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lebanon, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Danville will face off against McCutcheon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Mavericks at the right time seeing as the Mavericks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lebanon, they will square off against Terre Haute North Vigo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
