Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley). They claimed a resounding 102-74 victory over the Sunrise Mountain Miners. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Vikings have posted since February 2, 2024.

Sunrise Mountain lost on Monday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kevin Neely, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Sande Obote Jr, who had 12 points and four steals.

Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Sunrise Mountain, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will venture away from home to challenge Faith Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Sunrise Mountain, they are taking a road trip to face off against Basic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Basic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season.
