Basketball Recap: Statesville Greyhounds vs. Community School of Davidson Spartans
The third road game was the charm for Statesville, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against the Community School of Davidson Spartans by a score of 52-40 on Monday.
Statesville found their leader in freshman Ava Waugh, who posted 14 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Caylie Ward, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 14 points in addition to five boards and four steals.
Statesville was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Community School of Davidson only racked up four assists.
