Volleyball Recap: Torrington Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Sundance

Torrington faced Sundance in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Trailblazers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Brooklyn Asmus paced Torrington's offense, picking up seven kills. Asmus got some help from Natalie Long and her nine assists. Long also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ellis Mortimore, racking up three apiece.

Torrington's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sundance, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Torrington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Scottsbluff on the 29th. As for Sundance, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Southeast on the 30th.
