Softball Recap: Excelsior Springs Tigers vs. Central Indians
Excelsior Springs kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Indians. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.
Josie Casler was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and a double. The last time her OBP was this high was back in September of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Dean, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.
Excelsior Springs will head out to challenge Winnetonka at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will welcome Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
